10 Cent Pistol (2014)

10 Cent Pistol is a 2014 American crime thriller written and directed by Michael C. Martin, the screenwriter behind Brooklyn's Finest. Set in the sun bleached, sleazy underworld of Los Angeles, the film follows brothers Easton and Jake, two lifelong criminals who make their living cracking safes and running jobs for a ruthless crime boss. When a heist over a fortune in stolen government bonds spirals out of control, the brothers are pulled into a maze of double crosses, shifting loyalties, and deadly betrayal. A mysterious woman and struggling actress, played by Jena Malone, only raises the stakes. Told through a bold, nonlinear structure in the tradition of Pulp Fiction, and featuring Joe Mantegna, Adam Arkin, Jessica Szohr, and Thomas Ian Nicholas, 10 Cent Pistol is a stylish neo noir about greed, love, and the price of redemption.
