Dragon Knight (2022)

Dragon Knight is a 2022 British fantasy adventure that brings old school sword and sorcery back to the screen. Set in the dystopian lands of Agonos, the story begins many years after a devastating war has been lost and the last of the dragons have been slain. A lone, battle worn knight roams the ruined kingdoms, searching for a way to stand against the demon lord Abaddon and his advancing horde. When a healer’s vision reveals that a single dragon may still be alive, the knight and a young, eager squire set off on a perilous quest to find the fabled beast. With the armies of darkness closing in on the human realms, this last dragon becomes the only hope of saving mankind. But does the creature truly exist, and if it does, will it fight for them once more? Directed by Lawrie Brewster and written by Sarah Daly, Dragon Knight is a dark, atmospheric epic inspired by the classic fantasy films and literature of the 1970s and 1980s. The cast includes Ryan Livingstone, Megan Tremethick, Erich Redman, Briony Monroe, and Michael Daviot, who bring this grim fairy tale to life with striking costumes, haunting villains, and sweeping battle scenes built on real heart rather than heavy CGI. Packed with heroes, monsters, and epic confrontations, Dragon Knight is a must watch for fans of dragons, medieval fantasy, and sword and sorcery adventures.
