The Reckoning (2020)

Set in 17th-century England during the darkest days of the Great Plague, The Reckoning follows Grace, a young widow left shattered by the sudden death of her husband, Joseph. Alone and grieving, she becomes the target of her powerful landlord, and when she refuses his advances he unleashes a devastating lie: he brands her a witch. Dragged into a nightmare of superstition and cruelty, Grace is handed over to a ruthless witch-hunter determined to force a confession at any cost. What follows is a harrowing test of faith, endurance, and defiance as one woman refuses to break, no matter how merciless the torment. Directed by Neil Marshall and led by a fearless performance from Charlotte Kirk, The Reckoning is an intense historical horror thriller about persecution, injustice, and the strength it takes to stand alone against the world.
