About Tesliya
Tesliya is a streaming platform built in the UAE for the International market. Stream movies, watch TV shows online, follow Arabic series and short dramas, tune into live channels and play mini-games, all in one app, free to start, on every screen you own.
The word tesliya (تسلية) means entertainment in Arabic, the thing you do to pass the time well. We named the platform after it because that is the whole promise, and we wanted something to live up to.
We started with an honest observation about streaming in the MENA region and the International market. Audiences had plenty of places to find content and very few that felt built for them. International platforms arrived with libraries translated at the edges and recommendations tuned to somewhere else. Local services asked for a subscription before showing a single minute. And nearly all of them assumed the same viewer: someone sitting down for ninety uninterrupted minutes.
That viewer exists. So does the one watching a three-minute drama in a queue, the one leaving a live channel on while cooking, the one handing a tablet to a child, and the one who does all four in the same day. Usually they are the same person.
So we built for that person instead.
